Fisher House Foundation is comprised of many passionate and talented people. Seth Coker, a Hero Programs administrator, came to the Foundation thanks to his interest in live sports like those involved in the Warrior and Invictus Games. As a member of an Army family, he fit right in and supports military families traveling where a Fisher House is closed or full, through Hotels for Heroes.

Mikaela Miles has always wanted to fly, and now she flies every day. She starts her days early, but she says that once she is in the air and sees the sunrise, she knows it’s all worth it. As a daughter of a Marine, she applied for and received a Fisher House Foundation Scholarship for Military Children scholarship which is now helping her reach her goal.

02/02/2023 Awake After Two-Week Coma, Jacob Meek, Pumps His Fist
Marine Corps Corporal Jacob “George” Meek wakes up from a two-week coma with his parents next to his hospital bedside. His parents, Wade and Laurel Meek, sent the photo to the San Diego Fisher House Manager after their son woke up after he was hit by a car. The photo won Fisher House “A Day In the Life” grant contest.

12/12/2022 Scholarships for Military Children accepting applications for 2023-2024 academic year
Applications are now open for the Scholarships for Military Children Program for academic year 2023 – 2024. The program, entering its 23rd year, recognizes the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and celebrates the commissary’s role in enhancing military quality of life. It’s administered by Fisher House Foundation.
